“Turtles can fly” by Bahman Ghobadi, Kurdish director won the the golden shell of the 52nd San Sebastian film festival and will participate in the Oscar academy award competition.

Scenes of limbless kids harvesting mine fields cultivated in Iran-Iraq war, is a reminder:
It is not the first time “The army of compassion” is striking these people.

With G3 in his hands, he strolls through new dug holes and piles of moist black dirt, chasing the silence in the orange trees. He stumbles in the wet land and tries to be quiet and listen. He is waiting.

He is running among the crowd to the skirts of the hill, cloudy sky deprives the sun, ground is wet, bracing the black boots in a passionate way. Rain and fog are sitting down on the gray skyline far in the trees over the green mountains.
“Run, Run…” Shouts the bearded Soldier, a weary broken nose veteran. “Everybody stop”, roars in his ears. “Everybody lie on the ground”. “Face to the ground, face to the ground, face to the ground”.
he tastes the black sour soil and the grass. The soldier is close. Still shouts, “faces to the ground”. He closes his eyes and pushes his face into the mud, it’s warm, it’s friendly; it’s the mother.

Shouts get lost as the crowd marches the way, piercing the fog; Sergeant roaring:
